Wednesday the 3rd of October Lankhorst received a Highly Commended for the entry of the in-house developed & manufactured KLP® Hybrid Polymer Sleeper during the ‘Global Light Rail Award’ in the category ‘Best Enviromental and Sustainability Initiative’.  This sleeper from 100% recycled ductile polymers is reinforced with steel bars and promises longer life and is already proving itself in successful service on Amsterdam's tramways for example.
